^ Sorry for you . My first year of ownership was a purchase Nov of '01. We had an extremely mild winter in the Mid-Atlantic area. By ~ April I'd already put 20K miles on The Bruised Banana...and all during winter I think I had the top up all of ~ 3K miles.

Not the case THIS winter ...

I don't know why you guys are so upset about snow

We had a meet in it, and we are the SOVA people who NEVER EVER see or drive in snow!

Of course we will never have another meet if snow is in the forecast....Driving home sucked

We are upset about the snow because it won't go away -- My S has not been out of the garage since Sunday -- THAT'S FOUR FREAKIN DAYS!!!! and it looks like it won't be going out for AT LEAST ANOTHER FOUR OR FIVE DAYS!!!! I'm moving to some place where it NEVER snows if this stuff keeps up. [There now, I feel much better -- just had to yell a little bit, but its over, I'll be okay -- just need an S2k fix, that's all]

heheh, I was out doing donuts in a parking lot last nite. sliding in another parking lot covered in ice. and somewhat drifting around corners of snowy roads. I had plenty of fun.

it has only snowed here enough for the mornings to be glazed over white then it all melts away, thank goodness. Hopefully we'll make it through the rest of it without any major snow or ice storms or anything.

HAH! What is UP with all of this white stuff on the ground??

I just got back from 4 days down in Mississippi for work (that is SO fun to type) playing on ships, and it got up to 50 something this morning when I left, but I get back to DC and theres still all this damn snow!?

All I can say is, I'm very happy that within 2 months of buying the S, I moved to a house with a garage! Very happy about that decision. w00t.

Ok.. one more time.. Blizzaks .... Thats all I have to say.. I LOVE THEM in the snow ...

I have owned a WRX, Civic SI, and a Buick LeSabre..

The S2000, with snow tires on the stock wheels, is by far the best car i've ever driven in snow.. Here are my reasons why..

1) 50/50 weight distribution makes all conditions handle equaly.. NO under or oversteer..

2) I can drive top down...

3) Because its manual and rear wheel drive you have much more control over your car than say an automatic Civic..

4) They look on others people faces..

--

When we got dumped on a couple day ago I had to be @ work the next day.. 6 inches.. Oh well still had to be there..

My street wasnt plowed.. I didnt even shovel my driveway.. I was HOPEING to get stuck.. But no.. It pulled right out the driveway and went right up the street and out the community.. NO problems.. Even when I came across the huge birm the snowplow left.. I felt like I was driving a 4 wheel drive all of a sudden..

Look if yall dont believe me... Anyone in the columbia area is invited to come for a drive with me if/when we get snow again..

And I'll eve ncome get you (Cause you'll be stuck!!)

that is awesome JB, i'd would love to see this in action..

I always take the Jetta out in the snow, I grew up with it in the snow up in New england, it slides around , but I know exactly what to expect from it...

I think you've just had a buncha practice
