I did some preliminary research on the issue - there is only general information on their website and driving in groups is not mentioned anywhere. I read somewhere else that the minimum for a Special Use Permit would be 20 vehicles, and those would have to be grouped 20 vehicles per group with 15 min between groups. So far it looks like that Ranger was ing us. Does anyone remember his name?

I shot the Park Service an email with a general inquiry about this issue - if it differs from our Ranger's statements, I'll consider sending in a complaint, since he essentially killed the drive on Skyline (especially considering the effort of our "locals" and us having folks here who came all the way from New York!)

my broadband is acting like goddam dial up. i'm uploading 60+ pics to a webshots album. when the molasses upload finishes, i'll post highlights.

some of the group rolling shots in the country came out pretty nice (for those of you that noticed the camera popping up from the NFR periodically)

those pictures turned out nice (especially the 10 or so pics of my car in front of you heh awesome!!) i got a bunch of you in my rearview, so i guess it comes full circle.
