When I went to put my Buddy Clubs on, I was straining something fierce trying to get the nut loose to remove the stock dampers. I had just taken the fronts off, so I was ticked that I couldn't get the rears. After damn near going postal, I decided to clean the area up from the 6 years of gunk that had collected there and wondered why a small glob wouldn't budge with the best of my elbow grease. Then it sunk in... that's not gunk, that's a weld

Sounds like many of us have been here ... I myself ruined a perfectly good socket wrench (shattered the internal ratchet mechanism) by trying to 'unscrew' that blasted [welded ] nut!

And yet, you somehow managed to still need to put an additional nut on it!
