Default self locking nuts

I was out putting the suspension on my prelude back to stock today and I am trying to get the damper fork nut (self locking) off with my breaker bar and it won't budge. So ok fine. I'll get out the air tools (this is my first reason to use them). Still will not come off. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I'm guessing here, but perhaps you need to unload the the suspension first. Also, you may need to use two tools simultaneously- to work against one another. Again, just guessing.

damper fork nut? as in the lower control arm bolt/nut? Usually the nut is welded to the strut and just the lower control arm bolt is removed.

I should have read the post instead of "thinking" what I saw. That would be way too funny if that were the case. Funny, as in that I didn't catch it.

oh actually I never thought of that. I have the helms and It said to remove the bolt, so I just assumed that I had to remove the nut. Why have a nut if its just welded . I'll check that when I get home. Thanks!

Nuts backing out are a bad thing. Always never let the nut out.
