Is it an indoor/outdoor cover?

Hey, I know this is sold, but I just had a question about these OEM dust covers in general...

I know they don't protect the car from precipitation, but can anything bad happen if I have it on my car and the weather ends up getting a bit inclement/?? I'm just wondering if the cover itself would get messed up or anything or lose its softness or its breathe-ability (I think it says that if there is moisture on the car, it can let it through so he car stays dry under it if it ever gets wet)...

I just got one and I was about to put it on but then saw the forecast...so I just want to make sure before using it...

Thanks...

It is a dust cover meant for indoor storage, I plan on using mine in the garage.

Since it is not waterproof, the problem comes when after the rain stops and the sun comes out all the moisture stays on the car finish. This is not a good thing in my mind.

If the cover is on the car and it gets wet, that by itself is not bad. Just make sure you remove it.

The cover should be good to protect from sun, pollen, tree sap and the like. Just not a long term outdoor cover to be used in all conditions. I would definitely not use it in the winter outdoors.

Thanks

So remove it right away if I ended up leaving it on during any precipitation...

Do you think I could dry the cover normally in a dryer or would I have to let it dry in the sun or just let it hang on something?

And also...to make it water proof, do you think it would be safe to have this dust cover on, and if the weather is going to get bad or something (not winter bad as in snow, just during spring/fall/summer) put on some sort of plastic sheet on top of this cover???

Sorry for all the questions, Just want to make sure I dont end up messing anything up...

Just leave your car the way it is Naveed. .... lol.. it's more effort to take it off and wipe it down and put it back on then take it off the next day to wipe it down again.. get an outdoor cover if anything.

You might try Sctochguard to make it water resisitant, I would not put plastic over the cover, it does not breath.

The info on the cover says it is machine washable. It might shrink in the dryer, but I am not sure.
