It'll be my first 'track day' on four wheels at Summit; done many on 2 wheels. Starting in Novice A.

Not going to make this one, if it was going to be warmer( (like in the 70's) I would have made plans.

Be careful with your tires, they will not be terribly grippy.

If your goal is to get signed off to level 2, work on stuff like being really smooth (shifting, braking, turn-in), using your mirrors (yes much different than bikes) good handsignals and traffic management. Etc

The instructors look for those traits.

I'm not going to be able to make it to the March FATT, but I do plan to be going to *at least* one this year and i'm eyeing the April 28 or May 12 days. If you are going to either of those let me know as I'll also be doing my first track days this year!

I admit I am a complete wuss about track driving in cold weather, I should be taking the SCCA school at SP this weekend, however I procrastinated on that also.

george, not too late, you can sign up as late as friday for school. hagerman has rental SRF and several places have SM's.

will be at FATT instructing on friday, and doing my novice SCCA specialty work at school sat/sun. get that out of the way now so i can relax on race days..... MARRS 1 is only 38 days away!
