Drats Skip . But ya'll will have a blast out there at that "lil' get-together"

Alex...Good point on the Saturday dinner thang too . I know Raul has plans to be back to New Bern to spend some of his remaining time off with Anna (I believe he indicated to me on the phone that he'd be spending Sunday & Monday with her at home). So I'm not sure if Raul plans to drive home Saturday evening, or.... early Sunday morning .

Regardless, yeah Alex you bring up a good point about dinner Saturday after the drive.

- Dave

PS. Taska and I *JUST* came home from submitting an offer for 22 acres just ~ 10 minutes west of where we currently live. Developer has until Thursday morning to accept (or counter ) our offer. Boy, we'd sure like this to be an extra-special Valentine's gift to the two of us! . So if any of ya'll are sayin' your prayers this evening...add us to 'em if ya don't mind

Thanks! Yeah, we got in touch with our builder with some questions (that he was able to answer from experience). I got with one of our Southern States petroleum retail points to answer questions about the "buried fuel tank" convenant that would have to be met, and discovered acceptable answers there (and some price quotes for furnace, heat pump, etc.). And Taska got up with the bank to answer some questions about where we could best tap for the downpayment on the land...and received acceptable answers there as well.

So now its all about the developer accepting our offer (lower than he's asking). So we're praying he'll accept.

You guys ever drive the roads out in Montpelier, Beaverdam, and louisa? Out by the power plant. Pretty Especially just west (I think it's west) of 55 in Beaverdam...if you want hilly, twisties, and around 33.

I bought my Mach 1 in short pump and the 3 times I've driven it were on those roads because I stored it in Beaverdam. If I had an S, I'd definitely be up for coming down there just to drive those roads again. There's nothing like those country tar/gravel roads after they've been compacted.

They do suck beforehand though...
