Since I have access to the Honda ISIS computer, I figured I would help out my fellow Mid-Aer's

If you have any questions about recall or service bulletin stuff, you can request it here. I have to limit this to Mid-A only for a couple of reasons:

1. I don't want to be over-run with requests
2. I do not want to step on any toes outside of my Honda zone/region
3. I do not work for Honda service, and cannot diagnose a problem professionally

If you are having problems with your car, and your dealer does not have the answer - maybe Honda does. Even my own service department has missed some things from time to time

I pulled up a few that my car has (now had ) issues with:

For TSB's/Recalls (as of Dec. 2nd, 2003 that caught my interest):

1. Buzzing from enigne/tranny while decelerating
2. Rear vibration during acceleration
3. Grinding when shifting into 2nd Gear
4. Wind noise/rattle from convertible top
5. Tranny pops out of 4th gear
6. Reverse or 5th gear is difficult to select
7. Rear window is creased, clouded, or scratched
8. Sparkplug RECALL - GET THIS DONE IF YOU HAVEN'T!!!!!

I have these 8 now scanned as .jpeg's for emailing. Either PM or post your email address with which one(s) you want, and I will shoot you an attached email. I have them scanned into my home computer, and I spend most of my time "not-at-home", so it could be a day or two before I can shoot that email out to you.

Nice job Alex!

Lemme know how my "hole in my roof" and the two "folding creases" can be covered by the "Rear window is creased, clouded, or scratched" . I can get a brillo pad in a New York minute! (no disrespect to New Yorkers intended ).

SERVICE BULLETIN 02-046 from July 30, 2002 - applies to 2000-2002 S2000's
If you need to get it done, you may need a copy of the bulletin - but here is the gist of it:

Probable Cause:
"Moisture in the shifter housing has caused the mechanical reverse lockout assembly to corrode and stick."

Diagnosis:
"The reverse lockout may bind in either the up position or the down position, making reverse or 5th gear difficult to select. If reverse or 5th gear, but not both, are difficult to select, go to 'REPAIR PROCEDURE' (I am leaving this part out for now). If reverse and 5th gear are both difficult to select, troubleshoot other causes."

Corrective Action:
"Remove, clean, and lubricate the shift lever."

Parts Information:
Silicone Grease (one tube will repair about 50 vehicles)
&
Urea Grease (one container will repair about 20 vehicles)

If your dealer does not know how to fix this, you have the necessary Bulletin information to "point" them in the right direction

this is great info, but can you be specific on what years those TSBs are referring to? I have a 2003 and didn't get any notice about sparkplug recalls...

You're welcome!

You are in great shape as far as Honda thinks......

BTW Everyone with Differential issues. I spent most of my time trying to track down anything having to do with the Rear Dif - no luck - Honda seems to think they are bullet proof

And to quote Hatty Matty: "One of those ers at Honda needs to hop on S2Ki and search 'dif'" on this idea!
