I'd be willing to sacrifice one heavy braking zone for increased turning ability in all the other corners since there are so many.
good strategy ...kinda like racing in the egg-shaped Darlington....you give up some in one set of corners to go fast in the others!!

I believe you're correct, Cale. It seems as though there is no really hard braking zone when compared to VIR and Main. Earlier this week I almost ordered the SPC camber kit, but elected to not introduce another variable on a track I had never driven. With all the turns, I can see where a camber setting in excess of -3F would be helpful.

I'm almost there with you on front, however, I believe -2.5R camber is plenty.... maybe even less with a wing and front swaybar.
There are a ton of hard braking zones.

Going into T2 is threshold braking from about 80-90 mph

Going into the bowl is threshold braking to go from 100+ MPH to about 60mph

Going into T17 is braking form 100+ down to about 40 mph

If your pushing to much you are:

1) going in too fast

2) your line is not ideal

3) steering input is to abrupt

Remember, there are fast sections (which you need to take fast) and slow sections (that you need to take slow). Going fast in a slow section is a certain way to get understeer.

Just got another alignment.... I feel better now. The last one was not so good.

I just gotta remember to bring the tech form to the event. What time is everyone planning to get there? I'll most likely be there around 7:30.

Carrying speed into and through the Carosel is key to fast lap times. it's scary but you throw the car in there, just watch the exit.

yea, the bowl should basically feel like one, long, drawn out car wreck followed by the sensation of being shot out of a canon as you exit.
