Instructor? I just need someone to sit in the car for the first session. I'm thinking I might not run the wing, too. I was still hitting in the 130's on the front straight with crappy T10's. Much less drag. I'll be interested to see what the DL1 says- much more accurate.

225/255's

Oh, that's right... you got suckered into the KWv3's.

I meant someone who's familiar with the course to ride with you and show you the lines. It doesn't have to be an instructor. If I hadn't just bought the RE050's for the fronts, I would have gotten the same tires in the same size. I wonder if I could sell the new fronts and get another set of 01R's.

KW's? You mean gendron.

Back from Summit on the Main. Need... more... front camber...

Car pulled great, and I ran without the wing. That made T10 hairy. Will be signing up tonight or tomorrow.

Btw, RE01R's are very impressive for a street tire, even unshaved. I did my first session with them and no wing. No datalogging, but I felt confident in them. Not an R-comp, but very, very good for a street tire.
Son of a bitch!
Ive been home for the last two days!
I would have loved to go to the track!

ohwell... glad to hear the cars running good.

seya next saturday

It was a MBCA event- Mercedes-Benz cars only. It was pretty cool, actually. They ran HPDE's most of Monday. Then they set up a 1/4-mile section on the front straight and did "acceleration" runs. Tuesday morning was another HPDE session. They then grouped folks for their Time Trial runs. 2 on the track at a time.

Because the group spanned a great range of driving talent and non-talent, they ran Monday and Tuesday with transponders. This enabled them to run cars with like-times. Weather was perfect; the participants neat.

Now to see if any of my data was recorded on the DL1.

No DL'ing on Monday, the only day I ran the Bridgestones. I only DL'd the Tuesday session. It was the second session on newly shaved RA-1's. It'll be awhile before they get "good."

It is amazing how much faster my car feels without a passenger, Volks all around, and no wing. It makes T10 a little butt-puckering. I have some data numbers from that session, but I don't think you want to read them.

Weather conditions were great for the motor- low humidity and cool. Going out at 0900, the track was definitely not sticky yet. I also had to be mindful of the motor's rpm's.

Wrapping up the car this week, I should be all set. Still need to check and see if I need new rubber though. I think (hope) I'll be fine as-is

Can't wait to see you guys next Saturday!
