Redline Time Attack, Summit Point Raceway

Someone should make a list of all the cars that blew up or crashed with pictures and descriptions of every incident. There was something going on every 20 minutes I couldn't keep track of it all!

That was Tinkfist in the red S2000. I think that was a Scion that blew up.

Peter Farell with his Supercar blew in front of me during lap 2 of the last TA session on the bridge straight ruining any chance of getting a good time.
The debris flag was posted at most oil spill locations on the track, but it was not pointed to the location making you guess which path to take.... no fun, not safe.

IIRC, RTA didn't originally include HPDE's. It was strictly a time attack format.
I went to the first Redline Track Event on the east coast at Beaverun in 2005- very well run track event with responsible drivers... I met Jeff HTG at that event.
Here is their other webpage http://www.redlinetrackevents.com/
Since that event it has turned into a non-licensed TT format with unreliable cars with unexperienced drivers...
Pics look awesome!!!

Also watched the in-car vids again and could have gone faster than 1:41 without this guy in front of me. He was in front of me from bridge straight to the front. Damn!

I had a fun time at the track, I loved the track layout once I started to get the hang of it.. It was awesome to meet some of you. Someday I shall have to go out that way again. The car handled the track day without any issues (I was going pretty slow however). Impresive considering the track was 1500 miles in to a 2700 mile trip. I went 14 miles down the side of a mountain on the way home, gravity powered even passed someone (in a passing zone of course) it was rather epic.
