With any kind of tires/suspension, you could be in the 1:38's, maybe even :37's.

As for Kelvin's turbo'd Blue, he's running Saturday only. First time on track. We flushed his brakes with Ate Super Blue(to match his car ), but his pads and tires are stock.
Thanks for the encouraging words.

I just flushed out my brake fluid to the ATE as well. I will also be running stock pads, but running on the Hankook RS2s.

I'm going to try to take it easy though. I have no clue what the car is going to be like, and I would like to keep it on the track if possible.

Yeah, those tires won't cut it. Horsepower does have its place on Shenandoah. The main straight is one place obviously, but I don't think you can underestimate the need for power headed up the bridge straight. Even though I did not have a good line before the bridge straight(and tons of body roll), I was still able to put a little distance between Cale and me.

The main straight requires handling and some fortitude coming out of Big Bend to make the most of that straight. Having some hp can mask a deficiency in that turn.

All that said, your car is heavier in the front end. Hope your brakes are ducted.

Yeah, I know the importance of big bend. In a stock s2000, I was flat out from the exit of corkscrew through little and big bend. I thought that was no problem, but I can imagine things are going to require a little more finesse this time around.

My brakes are NOT ducted...am I going to die?

So, what is the fast line Skip?
Calvin, in all seriousness, it appears all the instructors will not be needed. If the opportunity manifests itself, I'd love to hop in the car and see how our lines differ. I learn something every time I'm in someone's car. Besides, there are many ways to skin the cat.

Sorry, I didn't know how much experience you had on the track. I either couldn't go flat out or I hadn't worked up to that yet. I still had to modulate the throttle. I've only run that track with the 2.5L.

Are you going to die? I sure hope not. That would cut into everyone's track time. Might you experience brake fade? Its very possible. It is something that I realized had to be done to my car and that's with hundreds of pounds less than your car(I'm assuming) and about 100 ponies less.
I would hate to be a hindrance to anyone!

Overall, I'm not very experienced with road courses, but a majority of my track days (13 of the 17 days) have been on Shenandoah, so I'm fairly comfortable with the track.

Is it easy to do the brake ducts? I might get that done before Redline, if brake fade is going to be an issue.

Well, I was going to buy some Hawks HT10s, if I had monies. But I'm tight on funds right now, so I'm going to run the car with stock pads and the ate.

I'll try to get some ducting done prior to Redline.

See addition above.

Even though I'm not bringing a track car, I'm getting excited about being at the track. You all's enthusiasm is rubbing off on me.

Good advice. I'll just back off during the practice sessions. I should be okay...maybe for the time attack sessions since it's only 3 laps each.

I'm getting real excited as well. This Sunday is going to be a blast.
