why did you buy it?

why do you not want it anymore?

is it GPS based? or transponder/beacon based?

You should get a system that most of your buddies have so that you can compare data side by side on a computer. I think that's where you really figure out what you can improve. Pete compared my fast VIR lap with his, and it was really informative to see the comparison. Pete also gave me a really good summary of the comparison that I know will help me drop my lap times. Just my $0.02.

No. It's one of Cale's vids where he's chasing Skip. He's got one chasing Steve too. I've watched them many times.

- Trying to get around $700.

- Bought it because it was on sale.

- Then, got their IQ3 (prettier display and simpler).

- GPS based.

Hobbs is right. If your buddies use a same data acquisitions as you, you guys can swap files and compare stuff. Most of my Porsche friends are using racepaks so I didn't go with traqmate. Besides, shiftlights on G2x are better to see than others as well as two display function.

I don't think Cale was there on Sunday last year. Saturday was my first day on that track. The first session I used street tires and no wing. Next session out I used RA-1's and no wing. After still sliding all over the place, the afternoon session had me on RA-1's and the wing. The last session of Saturday had me try my street tires again with the wing as I was undecided which category I was going to run Sunday. I ran a couple laps that session and said, "Oh, HELL NO!"

I didn't use a transponder on Saturday and didn't pay any attention to posted times that day. I think I have some DL1 data from Saturday and Sunday though. I distinctly remember getting faster every session. Systematically working up to speed on Little & Big Bend was very helpful and some time was left out there. Even now, I have no doubt that I could improve greatly with regards to the Hammer(turn before Roadhouse Straight) and the right before the Bridge Straight.
