I'll run Saturday if you do
I still haven't decided yet. I know at least Scot's going to kick my butt if I decide to run Sunday.

i ain't getting cocky just yet..

i should have new tires so that will help but i have no real way to make any extra power.... in theory i should replace my stock battery with a lightweight one, etc... but not sure how much difference that would really make for 1 weekend (i have to still be at the min weight for HC anyway which I am right at it now)...
I don't think saving a few extra pounds will make a difference. May be just take out any ballast that you might have in your car and corner balance it again. I think a wider front tire might make a bigger difference than replacing the battery.

I will be running once again this year. I'm hoping to get some revenge against those M3's that always show up. I have a link to some of our (Tri-State Racing) videos if anyone needs or wants to see what the track will be like. All but one are from last years RTA at Summit Point.

Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

I was playing around with the white M3 at Summit Main a couple weeks ago (the white M3 that came in second last year- street class)
He walked me on the straights, and I could corner a little better, but the dude is crazy on street tires... had 2 off in 3 while I was chasing him...

Cale,

I did go with the hard wired transponder and I'd like to see how you mounted yours.

Are you busy Saturday? Brenda's making me go see one of the Shepherdstown Art Festival plays. I'm sure we'll dine out before or after the event. Let me know if you're intersted.

Rob
Rob, Ill give you a call on friday about this weekend.

Heres some pictures of my transponder install
I have mine mounted to center horizontal brace right infront of the radiator
I had to remove the front skid plate (plastic tray) to install this. You could also remove the bumper, but it really isnt necessary.
You can just see the transponder in this picture. attached to the center beam just below the silver canister

I attached it using zip ties.

I ran the wire up to the fuse box (passenger side of engine bay)

I attached the black wire to the ground, and used the airconditioning relay for the power supply (red wire) I just stripped the end of the red wire, and pressed it into the fuse box with the relay. Probably not the best way to do it, but its worked for me.

Yeah. That was David. He was hanging out with us at VIR last weekend. He's a really good driver.
