I'm confirmed for instructing on Saturday, but I'm not sure what I'll do for Sunday. I'll either buy a suit or put on the street tires, or just skip it and go to work.

Rob, you should go ahead and get the suit and run the R comps unless you have street tires you want to run with. I just got a suit and a hans device from OGRacing. I wanted to get a fire extinguisher mount too, but the universal mount (mounts in front of passenger seat) they had won't fit in the S.

Slightly more than a set of Hoosier A6 autoX tires. I decided to get some safety stuff this year. AutoX tires will have to wait until next year.

so, you got the heavier base version of the hans, you didn't go for the lightweight ones?
Yep. I got the Sports model. The weight difference doesn't matter once you have it strapped under the harness, and I doubt I'll be walking around between sessions with the hans on. The weight difference is about a pound or so. Not much.

Not really. I still want to drive back home after each event. It's just a safety device in case I need it, which I hope I never do. After I saw the crash at Hyperfest where the driver broke his neck, I decided to get one.

Since I can't seem to find a mount for a fire extinguisher, I might try a variation of this DIY mount. Check it out...
