Yeah. It changed from last year - most likely to reduce the size of this group. You can still do Saturday. That's what I'm thinking of doing now instead of the entire weekend. I haven't decided yet though.

I don't think they're ghey. They're different. NASA gigs you on points that RTA does not. Heck, the rules were stricker this year for the S2000 until some folks lobbied against them(concerning softtop removal). I applaud RTA for reviewing their own rules and amending them reasonably.
On a possibly unrelated note, there is a lot of video/pictures being taken during their events. Does it makes the event more professional looking if you have (more)drivers in suits?
You guys that do a lot of events should be wearing suits anyway. It's highly unlikely that any of us will be involved in a fiery crash, but we increase our chances every time we go on track.

I also agree about the fire suit. We'll most likely never need it, but if and when we do, it could be a life saver. I'm seriously thinking of at least getting a hans device and possibly a suit and fire extinguisher.
