So even though I get a lawyer , i can get into jail with 55 miles speeding on 35 miles zone ? I have a clean record, no violation, no tickets before..
If i get into jail because of traffic violance, will it effect rest of my life , like getting credit from bank, applying jobs and etc ?

Take a defensive driving class and def. get a lawyer.
if you are convicted in Fairfax County District Court, you'll likely get 6 pts plus fine; since you have a clean record.
with an attorney, you'll probably get it reduced to speeding and get 4 pts with no jail time.
i doubt the prosecutor will bother talking/nego with you if you represent yourself.
def. get a lawyer, take defensive driving course.
aforementioned by others, the lawyer cost will be around $500 to $1000.
good luck!
edit: don't worry i don't think you'll go to jail.

get a lawyer. i got a lawyer for my wreckless driving ticket. i did 120+ on a 65mph zone. lawyer and getting your driving record helps. are you young? do NOT and i mean do not appear in court if youre a young guy. the judge will look at you and see that youre young and like to speed. if you dont go the judge will have more mercy on you. my 2 cents

I had this same problem... the officer pulled me over and took me to jail right then and there for reckless driving, but i only spent the night there..... I wanted to get a lawyer but had no money to do so. I ended up going the cheap route and got a public defender and she got me off with a careless driving and 10 hours of community service, so i took it.
Try and get a public defender, make sure it a woman cause she will listen, ask her about the judge and see if she know if he is strict on driving issues if she says he's a hard ass about it, see about getting a different judge, but only if she recommends that you do so
