Your drving to Florida, I'm jealous. Hopefully the trip will be for pleasure and not business (I hate those).
I'll make sure to let the service manager know who the man is .

If you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself......
Re: gregg's turn signal story, not to mention that it wasn't done, but even if it was they charged $29 for a $2 part and 5 minutes worth of work???? Seriously, how can anyone justify that? I remember a long time ago being told that I needed my belt changed in my Jeep and that it was a $30 part + an hour's labor for $70. I said "no thanks," bought a goodyear belt for $9 and replaced it in 30 minutes. I also worked at Midas one summer as a "driver," and witnessed a cat-back exhaust system replaced when not needed, then the mech punched holes in it with a screwdriver when the customer asked to see the old parts.
I hope my next house will have a garage with a lift or a pit!

You guys are going to kill me (I feel like a heretic!). After all my touting of Jim Coleman's service (which still holds true), I am being a traitor and bringing my car to Herson's for the following:
1) Install CSM (clear side markers - my second set, let's see how this one works)
2) 7500 mile service
3) TSB on anchor points for the convertible top
4) Evaulte timing and need for TSB on clutch (they know it applies to 2001s)
Am having the Escort 8500 hardwired in by a separate shop on Rockville Pike.
We're driving to Key West and I wanted to get all this done beforehand. I couldn't justify driving all the way to Jim Coleman (as much as I wanted to) when Herson's is 5 minutes away.
The guy I spoke with on the phone at Herson's was AWESOME and is also an instructor at Summit Point.
I will let you know how it goes.

No - that would put you in the Tortilla Territory.
