Priceless Moments

Okay, this one is a hoot. Back in August I was vacuuming my S at the Citgo station on General Booth, and a dude in a red Porsche 911 (LOOKED LIKE 2002) pulls on to the front of my car, stares at me then the car... Now keep in mind that my front badge still has the H, this, obviously overpaid dumbass, ask me "what is it"? I, shocked at first, said S2000.... long stare and pause, he says "Ferarri'?... Spider?... I giggled under my breath, and looked him straight in the eyes and said YES, It is. He drove off. A few minutes later he returns, asked "how much"? Now this is the kicker, I say low 30's.... he says "Man for the little difference in price I think I like that car better than mine"...

:shakes head in shame: You know we've got a Porsche store Mark, and from my own experience I can say that there are Porsche Owners and there are Porsche Drivers .
The Cayenne is just going to make it worse......but better for us

I was in a gas station filling up this past summer with the top down when a sedan with two couples about fifty something pulled up at the pump behind me. After the driver started his pump he walked up to me and said nice car, what is it? I said a Honda. He looked confused, so I responded with "it's an S2000". He asked if I minded if he looked into the cockpit (which was polite of him) as he peered in he inquired: Five speed? I replied Six. He came back with "what is the red line, about 5 to 6 K?" When I responded: His eyes got real big as he looked at the tach, and as he almost ran back to his sedan, I could hear him announced to the others: WOW! That car has a 9,000 RPM redline! The other male looked almost as confused as the two females!
My other fun experience was on Memorial Day (2003) after my visit to the "Wall", I found myself driving up over Thorton Gap on Route 211 (where it passes over Skyline Drive) towards Luray. The up hill side in both directions is two lanes and just as I approached the two lane portion I downshifted into third gear to pass a couple of cars that where ahead of me. Two crotch rockets (sport bikes) were behind me and after I made my pass, I signaled to get back into the right hand lane and then hit the V-TEC just about the time that the bikes thought that they would pass me. After going up over the pass the road becomes fairly straight and a perfect place for a radar trap on the single lane downhill side so I slowed down to about 60 MPH. The two sport bikes pulled up to within about two car lenghts behind me. They both beeped their horns, when they saw me look in my mirror they both gave me a thumbs up and turned around to run the West to East route back over the top.
Our drive in the Hockenheim group at FCT2003 with "itsallforyou" was the best. Over 180 Miles and we never saw a cop!
