Honestly, I voted yes b/c...

Don't get me wrong, I love this community. I hated it sooooo much when Navy decided to keep me here instead of sending me to Southern Cali. So, I decided to look for the brighter side of things and was glad that I still had Mid-A to fall back on.

But lately, there is a lot of misdirections/off the topic replies that's been coming around in Mid-A, but same as it is in s2ki or any good sites. ppl are tight here and know each other fairly well, esp the regulars.

I'm just glad when ppl chime in to ask about serious topics and questions, the thread and topic usually stays where they are suppose to.

But it's the gatherings/meets thread that's loosing me. I usually check the first and last page to see what's new, if it has like 200 posts on that one thread. This is why I prolly missed SweetJ's HH meet and not realize Chinese New Year thing was mentioned w/in, and why I tried to start a new thread. It's not that the topic wasn't interesting or anything negative like that, it's just that sometimes, it's tooooo long and usually the messages are for each other (the whorers), and I don't want to be spying in on other ppl's conversation, and sometimes it's just too long.

I really liked it when Dave/W1ngman used to set up the meets/gatherings of who's attending/planning to attend on the first page of the original thread, b/c then I could just check the first page and see what's new w/o reading the 1000's of the replies w/in.

Hope I did not offend anyone, b/c I've also did some whoring w/in s2ki. but just wanted to throw my 2 cents in.

wow 111 views and yet only 18 votes and it's pretty close.

No matter how this poll turns out, I am going to be policing the "For Sale" and "Event" threads to make sure things stay on topic in there from now on

If you see this guy:

It means the thread has gotten clogged and we need to be more conscious of staying on topic.

If you see this guy:

It means you've stepped out of line, and I may be deleting or changing your post. I will also give you the reason for my actions either in a post or in a PM.

I know that I have been very bad at taking threads off topic. I am going to keep my whoring in the threads where I feel it can go.

I pose this question to the Mid-A Community at large:

Should we have a 2 Posts Meander Rule? This means - if there is a "For Sale" or "Event" thread, then 2 posts in a row can contain a little kidding, but no more than 2 posts in a row.
What do you all think?

Can we at least have the corners? Why don't we just allow ing every 50th post?

Yeah that doesn't sound too bad before you call for the boys in blue. But it's bad enough that I have to see them in my rearview sometimes, now on here too! Maybe a little siren or something. The cruiser with the lights flashing kinda scares me a bit - ie. flashbacks.
