I saw the write up on how to change the pads, and that did not look difficult. I don't think I'd have a problem with that at all. The fluid on the other hand, I noticed people were saying you shouldn't do it if you've never done it before.

I guess I'll give it a shot.
Brake pads are a piece of cake. Don't pay someone to do them...save your money for beer.

Brake fluid is actually easier than you may think. I just bled my brake lines a couple weeks ago. My dad helped by pressing on the brake pedal as I opened and closed the valve. I was surprised at how clean and quick it went.

All you need is a turkey baster, empty 2-liter pop bottle, closed end wrench, and a piece of nylon tube that fits snug over the bleeder nipple.

If you use the turkey baster to remove the excess fluid from the reservoir and replace it with fresh fluid before you start, you'll want to temporarily remove the plastic screen from the fill hole so you can get the baster into the reservoir.

Nick...
I taught myself to do the brakes when I bought the car. Its really not that hard... and because you are taking it to the track, Id deffinatly recommend you doing it yourself.
It will save you money, plus you know its done right, and all the bubbles are out of the system.

Thanks for the input guys.

I think I'm going to give it a shot myself. I've got an uncle that has a lift, so I'm going to try it there.

I've never tried the gravity brake fluid change but i usually have a helping hand. I plan on changing my pads soon too... Get some ceramic ones and change the fluid.

But yeah.. you'll be surprised how easy it is to do.
Hey Allan, when you do change your brake pads/fluids, let me know and we can do it together. I need to change mine too. It's gunna start squeaking soon!!
