GFactor have you driven much on the KWs yet? I know you haven't had it to the track but how is the street driving?

Hi Mark,

Not a ton, I hope to get out tomorrow for a bit. They are stiff no doubt, but manageable. The cars seems to be tuned for the autobahn, the faster I go to better it gets. It is very well damped, you feel the bumps but they don't affect the car a bit.

I just got a new alignment too, so I have changed too many things at once (a cardinal sin in proper car set up). I like the way it feels, it's quite lively now and rotates very easily.

hey guys,
sorry haven't installed them yet. Im waiting on my wheels to arrive. I just got a call yesterday from SP-Engineering and the wheels should be at my door next Wed/Thursday. Then I have to make an appt for the install.

I hope to have it all done by the first weekend of May.

waiting sucks!

Do you have any updates on what your impressions are of the H&R's on your S2000? I also had these on my VW Gti and loved them but I'm not sure how they would be on a Japanese car using the same spring rate at both ends.

On the VW they gave you the utmost confidence on any turn or road surface despite not being ride adjustable. I actually thought they road better then stock in terms of comfort while at the same time never bottoming out at very high speeds on bumpy roads.

I guess a part of me is kind of hoping to hear the same results from the S but if not I will be going with the PSS9 instead.

Thanks for any info you can provide

Hey sorry for the delay in response!

I love the H&R's, though I will be honest I don't drive the car daily. Actually I've probably only put like 500-600 miles on them But, I had H&R coil-overs on my Audi and VW GTI as well. Hence the reason I went with them again.

Not sure why people have this belief that super stiff spring rates are the way to go for this car. If you track the car, then look for something else. If you drive the car on the street then I highly recommend them. They are comfy enough for a commute and stiff enough to take that on-ramp faster then before. They keep the same resorvoir design as the OEM's and are reasonably priced.

I did not need damper adjustments, just one more thing I'd be worried about. I figure the engineers know their jobs and can decide for me

Just because its a German product doesn't mean it will make it ride like the VW Trust me, the car still feels every bit as Japanese Go-Kart as it did before, just more stable and better looking.

take care,
Chris

Thanks for the response, I am still on the fence at this point on what to get and find myself leaning a little more towards the Koni/GC/Eibach setup but I haven't ruled these out just yet. I had a couple more questions about the H&R's though if you don't mind.

Even though you have only put 600 Miles or so on them could you tell if the car now tends to "Push" more in the turns verses oversteer with the same spring rate in the front and rear (345/345)? Does the rear end of the car now feel night and day better in terms of "Plant-tid-ness" at high speeds over undesirable road surfaces? This is my biggest complaint area for this vehicle with the OEM setup. How was the "Fit n Finish" of the install, did everything line-up perfectly or was some elbow grease needed to get things lined up?

I called H&R and asked about going with slightly higher spring rates but they told me it would void the warranty in doing so but the dampers could handle a little more. I was looking for something along the lines of a 380F /425R.

Thanks for any additional info you could provide.

I'm torn between the Bilstien Pss9 and the H& R setup. Any further insights from those that have either one
