Online Video Games - who plays what?
#41
I use xbconnect to play HALO. Let me know when you normally go online, I might be able to play a game or two. BTW, here's what I play:
XBOX:
HALO I (via xbconnect)
Top Spin
Rally Sport 2
Unreal Tournament
Counterstrike
PC:
C&C Generals
Starcraft Brood War and original
Red Alert 1 &2
War Craft 1,2 and 3
That's all that I can remember for now. Post up if anyone wants to battle!

dkhl , I have all of the above . . .. (well maybe not friends)
but you would have to write a DIY on how to set it up.
I have XBOX live cuz it is easy . .. but unfortunately not free!

Quick how to on XB connect
go to www.xbconnect.com
download the program
install the program
run the program
It was ask you to detect your xbox.
here is the most difficult part.
Make sure you attach your computer to the router, with the xbox connected to the router. I am pretty suure everyone here has a router.
The only problem you might have is some router will not allow you to have xbconnect and xbox running. The website will actually have a FAQ section on how to bypass that.
Once you have your xbox up and running, go ahead and run halo. go to the serial link.
On your computer, it should say that it sees the xbox. go to the halo section and you should see tons of games being played.
You can eithe join a game or create a game and have people join you. if you are a newbie, you might want to join first.
Once you have the people you have in your game, you don't need to monitor the computer, you just create games in the serial link section.
One thing you have to be aware of is the Ping rate. anything under 40 is awesome. You might have someone on your team, or in your game that is pinging off the wall. If you are the host, you probably won't see anything wrong on your screen, but other people will be lagging very badly.
I think that is all for xbconnect.
we should set a time where we all go onto the s2k chatroom, and start a xbconnect game. let me know when you want to do this...
