^^^ I agree. I would clean my motor about every 6 months, including under the hood and surrounding areas. But once it's clean, it's definitely a lot easier to keep it that way, versus trying to get all kinds of gunk off after years of driving. (Mine was a daily by the way, so it wasn't as clean as this, but clean nonetheless.)

I'm with metros. Every time I wash the car I do a quick wipe down under the hood. Takes an extra 5-10 minutes tops and make all the difference in the world. Plus I'm also to the point of the car only being nice days and hopefully a track car soon.
