Default The OFFICIAL freshly detailed Mid-A Car thread

We had some great weather over the weekend. I'm sure some of you Mid-A s2ki members took advantage and cleaned the winter grime off your car. This thread is for whoring out your freshly cleaned car.

Posts should include:
-Products used
-Before/Afters
-Reflection shots

Mike "Coopmike" tracked me down at the November NASA event to take a look at his car. At that point I was busy with a new house and November isn't the ideal time to detail a car. Mike has anxiously awaited warmer weather for me to detail his car. Although the paint looks dull, damaged, and swirled the car only has 11k miles. I'm assuming the dealership put it through their automated car wash over and over for quite awhile.

Products Used:
-Meguires Gold Class/Prima Mystique car wash
-Clayed with Griots Clay
-Menzerna 105 with uber orange pad
-Optima Step 2 with uber green pad
-1z Final Finish with uber green pad (in limited areas)
-Menzerna Power Lock with uber gray pad
-Prima Banana Gloss - Hand applied

-Leather Masters trio used to treat leather
-Raggtop cleaner and protectant
-1z Cockpit for dash
-Adams RTV for tires
-Optimum Metal polish for exhaust tips and wheel lips

Before:

A bit of winter grime but not looking too bad, right?

Before/Afters:

This is how the Fit was created:

The customer was extremely pleased with the overall job. I would say about 90% of the significant swirling that was present was corrected.

Big thanks to Jason.

I waited a loooong time for winter to end and to get Jason to detail my car. It was worth every penny and every minute I waited.

Jason was correct in that the honda dealer in south GA just had some kid washing the car. They had it for a year and a half. I bought a new MY08 in September of '09. Got one hell of a deal on it.

Anyway, thanks again to Jason and can't wait for the first cruise of spring.

Mike

Hey Jason, if you got time to fit me in the next month or so, let me know. Are you still in the nova area?

Love this thread! I don't have any before and after pics. Plus, I still don't own a PC, so I haven't gotten into any serious paint correction yet(my car really doesn't need it).

But, I'll list some of my favorite products I use...

-Adams car wash
-Adams quick detailer
-Adams invisible undercarriage spray
-Adams glass cleaner
-Adams all purpose cleaner
-Adams glass sealant
-Adams In and Out spray(amazing stuff!)
-Adams low abrasive clay
-Griots tire dressing
-Prima wheel armor
-Auto Glym polish/sealant
-Auto Glym HD wax
-Sonax wheel cleaner
-Sonax interior cleaner/protectant matte finish
-Leather Masters strong cleaner
-Leather Masters vital
-Leather Masters protectant

Some tools I like to use...

-Autogeek 5 gal. bucket w/grit guard
-Autogeek 1/2 gal. foam gun
-Firehose spray nozzle
-Metro blower(for drying the car)
-Swissvax interior and wheel brushes
-Cobra microfibers(mainly used for washing and drying the car)

Go mobile and come to sova. My 11 year old paint is in need of tlc. I can wash but I don't do a good job with clay bar etc.
