Default OEM hard top question

Hey Guys - I think I have my sights set on a OEM hardtop (thanks for lead vbb ). Should there be any problem fitting the top in the back of a Toyota Tacoma (older, smaller model) pickup for transport? I've got a shell on it, but I can pop that off. It's a bit of a haul, and I'd rather not transport it home on the S2K in some half-assed manner.

Might host an install party if this goes down (hint...get it?). Thanks and see ya'll soon.

It's probably just a bit too wide to fit lengthwise, so I think you'll have to load it sideways and let the front hang over the side. Bring lots of thick blankets and comforters for padding, and some bungee cords and loading straps to keep it from bouncing around.

Another option is to go ahead and install the side catchers now, pick up the top with the S, then make the final adjustments once you get back.

^^ Thanks. I'll probably just pack it snug in the back of the truck like that. All the hardware is with the top anyway.

installing the OEM top takes 30-40 minutes at the most. It's just a couple of bolts for the most part I believe.

Negative on that statement.

All the rear plastics have to be removed in order to get the rear latches in. And it takes a little bit of time to get it adjusted just right. It's not a hard job by any means, but not a 30 minute job either.
