Default New Old Guy

Hey there,

Having admired S2000's for some time I am now lucky enough to be able to buy one.

Name - Stephen Garstang

Home - Charlottesville, Va.

Age - 51

Occupation - Architect (no job too small)

Other interests - BMW autos, KTM bikes

Being able to buy one is great, but I actually have only ever driven one and sat in/examined first hand two or three others - all of them AP2's. I am close to buying a low mileage 2002 MY (sight unseen) from another member of this list. Anyone in Charlottesville or nearby want to show me their car/tell me about what it's been like to own? Esp. anyone w/ an AP1? I'll buy the beer.

This has been a great site for S2000 info and more (like finding a cool car) - thanks to those that keep it going.

Well, all i can say is that i have an AP1. It is the best car i have ever owned. I will own many more cars, but i will never not have the S. It will stay with me forever. Sentimental i know. But this car has brought me fun and great friends around every corner.

Hi Stephen. Dave here. I'm only about 5 or 6 years your junior. I have a lil' AP1 with nearly 200K miles on it now . I live in Bumpass, VA (Louisa...not too far east of you). I think I could have my arm easily twisted to drive to C'ville and meet you next weekend for a lil' jabber time. Too bad you didn't post earlier...today would have been an EXCELLENT day to find any road OTHER THAN I-64 to get me out to C'ville .
