I think the TC is in bad need of some HDR-style photos... that shoudl make it pop. I've been eyeing the D90, but the D80 is sure to be had at some great deals now that it's out...

We payed just over 1k shipped for the D80 w/ upgraded 18-135 lense, and a memory card. Was a pretty good deal, through Buydig.

Interesting... the D90 is being offered with a 18-105mm VR lens for $1,300.

I see what your saying Pete. The "purple" that it is probably needs some brighter lights or a sunny day to get it to really pop. His paint is metallic right?

Nice shots! The pictures of the jets are nice, they're so sharp and clean! I like the second one of the jet the most.

Your car pictures are looking good too. I think the color of the TC is tough to get to pop in anything that is not bright light (like sunlight) because its a dark metallic color. It needs light on it to really shine. Try some shots of it outside in the daytime and see if you see better results with the color.
