I doubt I-95 would ever have tolls as it is not local to VA only... starts somewhere up north, and ends in miami, fl.
PS: FUK VA

What does having an interstate have anything to do with it being local to have a toll? Maryland has tolls on I-95.

Skip, what I suggested was not intended for situations like yours. What I had in mind was the idiot that runs a red light while yammering on a cell phone and t-bones a mini-van full of kids and their mom. Or, those that fail to yield.. which is my latest pet peeve.
What about the Idiot mom in a mini-van full of kids not paying attention and changing lanes without signaling and sideswiping/running you off the road?

Or the idiots that want to police the speed limit on their own (instead of leaving that to the police and minding their own business), going to the far outside lane on 495 and then driving below 55mph slowing down and backing up traffic for miles.

They should just be executed by firing squad.

Hmm what about the police that cause accidents by setting up radar on highways and causing chaos because everyone is speeding keeping traffic flowing good but people slam on brakes when they see him. So what if people go 20 mph over the speed limit... the speed limit is set too damn low anyway. I can drive perfectly safe down I-95 doing 90 just as well as doing 55-65. It's the assholes that think OMG I'm going 5mph over the speed limit, that's sure to cause instant death, I better slow everyone down so they'll be safe that need to get the hell off the road because they have not a clue how to drive!! Couple things...

On the "what about the idiots...?" call-outs regarding a lack of turn signal usage, well the way I see it when I drive our public roads it goes both ways. I shake my head in utter disgust when I see someone that *does* apply their turning indicator to notify the next lane of a lane shift...only to witness the motorist in...that...next...lane (and just behind the driver attempting to switch lanes) gas it to make sure and squeeze out the person that wished to switch lanes. Its almost (almost mind you...because I *do* believe in turn signals)...its almost enough of a reason to not use 'em.

On the "Let's put up tolls on I-95..." Errrm I guess my 40+ years are telling on me here, but I-95 use to be riddled with tolls around Richmond. And we all need to thank our lucky stars that they've been bulldozed down because that highway was absolutely painful when tolls existed. Daily..with or without any accidents...or slow moving heavy volume...tolls create a parking lot.

On the "Test 'em all & let God sort 'em out" . That's got my vote.

Now, my final thought on this before July 1st comes upon us: Considering that Howell (R-Stafford) said the "abuser fees . . . will impact those who most flagrantly abuse the rules of our roads."... I suggest those that are 'flagrant abusers' get their shinnanigans out of their system within the next 24 hours. That's right. DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT!!! until midnight June 30th .

Ya'll have a good night .

When did they get rid of the I-95 tolls?
