Hey guys,

I'm seriously considering buying a used Silverstone MY00 S2000 (located in nova) and since I do not know much about common problems with the S2000 (clutch buzz, gear grind, diff - I have heard about these and maybe I'm missing some, but I'm just not sure "how" to check for these problems ), I was wondering if an S2KI member from the area could help me test drive and check out the car. I would most likely need help next weekend (10/20-10/22) or the weekend thereafter, but I'm rather flexible to the schedule of whoever can help out. I would greatly appreciate it and really owe it to the s2ki community. Please let me know, thank you so much!

 

Hm, where in the NOVA region exactly? Is the seller on S2ki? If its pretty local i'd be willing to help out.

I'm not sure but I believe the owner is not on s2ki, because I saw the ad elsewhere.

I'm in the Tysons Corner area but if you want all that stuff checked out (differential, gearbox, etc.) better to arrange to have a shop look at it, don't you think? That's what I have always done when buying a used car and it hasn't failed me yet. IMO it's worth paying a little to save allot of headache later.
