I should have specified. My buddy shipped his GTi from Oregon to Virginia with fedex. Really nice enclosed trailer. Plastic on everything; seats, floor, steering wheel, etc.

Too bad it can't be driven. I have occasion to go to Dallas very soon.

Shippers were desperate for any business they could get two years ago, so they threw out ridiculously low rates. $600 won't even cover the cost of diesel.

From what I've read, FedEx is one of the most expensive options and they just contract it out to a shipper, anyway (but with their name/guarantee behind it). Keep looking.
