NAS Oceana Airshow!!!
Hey everyone, I know this isn't S2000 related, but come on out and enjoy the nice weekend weather and the awesome airshow here at Oceana this weekend. Here's a sample of what's on tap:
-Blue Angels
-F-18 demo, tactical demo, and legacy flight
-F-16 demo
-F-117
-B-1
-F-14 (soon to be a vintage jet, hehe)
-lots of static displays, etc
My squadron's participating in the F-18 tactical demo and legacy flight. Not letting a new guy like me do it, tho.
Also, come by the vendor tents and buy some VFA-83 Rampager memoribilia from the Officers Mess. Our Ram blue geedunk matches Spa Yellow Pearl perfectly... hehe. Seriously, if you stop by there ask for Bill or "Dingle" and I'll be happy to chat with you and offer an unofficial "beverage" you can put in your $3 Rampager beer koozie.

Oh yeah, sorry...
Both Sat and Sun. Gates open at 0700 both days. I think there's a night show Sat night or maybe tonight, but you'd have to check the paper or more official source. Yeah, you'd think I'd know, but they don't tell us jack sometimes about important stuff like that.

If the big white and orange C-130 breaks I'll be up there fixing it and flying it home. I was going to be on the crew but now I'm on standby crew for tomarrow. I have to fly out to Bermuda later tomarrow to do a hurricane asessment (sp?)

Thanks for the info -- haven't been to an air show for more years than I care to remember, but we're looking for a good little weekend getaway -- probably won't get there until Sat afternoon, but sounds like a great show!!!
Checked it out at: http://www.neptuneairshow.com/
Will try to look you up -- thanks again!!

Yeah, I'd be up for doing something, but my schedule usually sucks. 12+ hours at the squadron everyday and when the weekends roll around I'm usually going up the Eastern Shore to see my girlfriend in Philly (or she's coming down here). The next few months will be tough, too, with our workup schedule.
But, I'll keep a meet in mind when I have freetime. Everyone can make fun of my dirty car, hehe. Ttyl...

Don't speed through there! I lived in Yuma for 13 years. If you want to reach your top speed, the desert floor is a great place to do it. It's so friggin' straight, you can do it your sleep!
