Curious if there is anyone on the list who does house mortgages. I'm in N. VA and looking to buy my first house around July/August, and I'd like to talk with someone who I at least know does something I also enjoy in their spare time.

Or perhaps someone could recommend me a good agent in the area (I live in Reston at the moment).

I don't remember the guy's name but . . . . he lives in MI and posts on the site. I think he lives in Southfield, MI.

Maybe you can search on that. I remember seeing just a couple weeks ago because I was pissed I refinanced without thinking of checking here first!

 

Hit up Hiroprotaganist on our Mid-A site. He doesn't post often...but I believe he's a fairly regular lurker around here. Good guy. Used to do the law thang if I'm not mistaken. Now works in banking and had posted sometime back about wanting to help Mid-A folks get good mortgages.

I'll see if I can dig up his old thread related to same & I'll post back here if I find it.

I refinanced my house through EJ (Hiroprotagonist) last year. He works for Bank of America and is great at doing mortgages - the service was fast, professional, and courteous not to mention we received a good rate! In fact we did everything over the phone or via email which was terrific.
