Just sent you a PM.

If you part out, I'll take the stand and cover for the hardtop. Actually been looking for those two things for a while.

Doesn't your brother have an EVO? I couldn't have the same car as my brother. Especially, since you guys are twins. I would definitely go for the STi.

Josh, I say keep the S and enjoy your brother's Evo. lol.. I gotta admit, for a 16 year old kid, he's one of the more mature one's I've met at meets and what not. Whatever you decide, I'm sure you will enjoy the choice that you make.

Spring/summer is right around the corner and so are all the fun drives and meets. I don't think you can argue that in the summer the S2K is definitely the better everyday car

You've pretty much endured almost all of winter. Spring is officially supposed to start in I think 30-35 days and if the mild/somewhat warm winter is any indication, I think spring and summer might be very appealing And since you've endured the hard time for the S, I think you owe it to yourself to enjoy it for what its made for... some nice top down driving for the next few months. You can reconsider selling it after summer. Although I dunno if you will still feel the same

I say the only major thing you should do with the car is in like a month or so, take off the HT, put it in the cover and on the stand.... Then go put the top down and go for a drive. I think that'll help you see what I mean

I agree that you should take off the hardtop soon and enjoy the car, but I don't think you should put it in the cover or on the stand. I do think you should sell those items and enjoy having some extra Benji's in your pocket!

I was looking at the regular EVO not the MR. The MR is considerably more than the base EVO was back in the day. It was summer of 2004 that I was seriously looking at both cars. I found multiple places willing to let the EVO go for about $28k...mind you this was without the sun and sound package which includes leather interior, sunroof and upgraded stereo.

Both were a blast to drive, however I enjoyed driving the EVO a TAD bit more than the STi. When on the highway, you can noticeably see the hood scoop flapping up and down and the road noise was LOUD. I guess coming from the S it won't be too bad....but I was coming off an Acura that was pretty quiet. The interior was head and shoulders above the EVO.

I think it's more of a personal preference, but I just felt a lot more comfortable and confident behind the wheel of the EVO. Out of the two I just had more fun with the EVO and it ranks in my top three of most fun cars I've driven. (not that I've driven that many).

The only thing that kept me from buying it was the interior.....other than that it was the perfect car for me.

Good luck with whichever direction you decide to go.

My best friend just picked up an Evo 9 MR. I've test driven it a couple of times. It's a blast to drive, no doubt, and if you had to have one car, I guess I'd pick the Evo over the S2K as well... I think. Sometimes after test driving someone else's car, I find myself wanting one as well, but that wasn't the case with the Evo. I had fun on the test drive, but I was happy to get back in my S2K.
