It is a two mile road course with ten turns and is considered by many to be a "Drivers" track. It is very technical. I used to road race motorcycles there with WERRA.
There are several corners that play mind games with your head. Decreasing radius corners that like to "suck" one into committing early such as turn three.
Some great places to pass, like the short shoot betweens turns X and X (Hey, you don't expect me to give my secrets away do you? )
The dual apex "Carosel" is very technical as if you blow this, you are screwed for the left hander and uphill right hander that follow.

Summit main is nice, but VIR is technical.
I have only ridden on the south course; it features a wicked decreasing radius turn off the straight (I would hit 150+ on my R6) called "the bitch"
And a roller coaster sequence of blind turns that you had to turn in about 10 feet before the top of the hill to make the blind down hill left hander.
Summit seems sedate compared to that one.
Matt, you mean 3 and 4 right ? I also like to pass on the brakes just before turn 5, as a lot of people are wimpy in turn 4.

I registered for the first available FATT novice class at Summit and got assigned Aug 06. As was mentioned in the previous post by the FATT instructor, the intensity of the instruction may not be compatible with a S2K community social outing. But maybe we could plan for a future "Track Time" outing once we're all qualified to really ourselves.
