Update: We are most likely going to have lunch at mod-day. We are looking at $5 a head for those who want to eat.

What: Mod Day
When: 8-28-10 1330HRS
Where: Edgewood MD (Oturns house) pm for addy
Why: Because you asked for it.

First, thank you to all those who volunteered their homes for this mod day. Trust me, this will not be the last time we do this, and your name is now on the list.

When you sign up, please let it be known what mods you plan on doing.

Also, this is a later start time for all you heavy sleepers out there.

The idea of this day is to instruct and learn how to fix things on your S, not to watch them be done. Participation on your own repair is a must. Remember to bring some kind of container to bring your used fluids home with you. If you do not have a container, you cannot change fluids. Sorry but this has to be strictly enforced. There are a couple of gas stations nearby and an Advance Auto that might take your used fluids

Any questions, please feel free to ask.

The only thing I really could need done is having my cam chain tensioner removed to have the one little piece sandblasted to make my engine stop sounding like a bag of metal marbles on start up...but it wont be necessary to have anything done. It would be a chance to meet some of the S owners that live south of the mason dixon line, plus it is only 45-60 minutes from my house.

Excellent. I think some people might be interested in hearing your ideas on sandblasting the TCT.

It is, but I have heard questions about this, so a person that has seen it/know how to do it, would be valuable to the mod day.

what exhausts are you swapping?
i'm going from currently Supersprint back to my HKS
i like both but since Supersprint cost more, i rather sell that one

also, does anyone know how to change air pump? i'm getting that code that says i have a bad air pump. im told it does affect anything and is just an emissions thing but if that is an easy thing to do then i'll just go buy the part and swap it out on this day

I'm going to be swapping mine that day. It should be pretty easy, though I haven't actually done it before.

You're not going to want to pay for a new part from Honda. It's $700. I found a used one on s2ki for $100 though.
