Thanks for the house/food Raja. That was a pretty cool cake. The drive home was *interesting*.
So I hoped to get home ahead of the storm (on race slicks and with no wipers). I drove by the turned over car as I goy onto Georgetown pike. I got NAILED with rain, could not see a thing so I pulled off on a side street to wait things out. Than I see hail starting to fall around me . I look around and see a big low tree in a field about 50' away, so I zip over and park under the tree. Great, now I am safe from the hail But now there is a crazy amount of lightning and I am right under a tree in the middle of a field
Now i know that cars provide pretty good insulation but a direct lightning strike is going to cook us so I have to decide whether to move and risk hail damage or stay and risk a BBQ. Luckily the hail just lasted around 1 minute or so so I was able to move away from the tree and just wait out the storm.
Made it home safe but not something I want to repeat. I hate hail.
Anyway, nice meeting you all. See you around.
