Unhappy Mid-a Activity Slacking Lately...

Since Version 4 came online we've been pretty quiet on S2Ki - myself included. I was talking to CHIX RULE about it and we both feel the board isn't as user-friendly as it used to be - almost overwhelming. We both understand that this isn't the finished S2Ki Version 4 yet, but I'm curious to hear your opinions.

Or is it just the height of Summer and everyone is too busy to post/communicate as much as he or she used to?

Not yet Tony....but it is definitely one of the items they're working on resolving. Until then...you have a couple choices. You took the one choice (remove the forums you're interested in from mys2k). But to me, that's a sucky solution because I *want* to re-develop v4 as much as possible to be similar to how I 'liked' this site before. Option 2?...live with the bombardment for the time-being. Also sucky solution...but again, this issue should be temporary. For myself, I've opted to develop mys2k to be as similar to my old usercp feel as possible. As for e-mail bombardments...I just travel over to my e-mail addy now and again and do some quick "select/deletes" and all is well.

i like the new setup, but then again i wasn't around long with the old one either to know everything about it... one thing i don't like about the new one is it doesn't show if the person is an owner or not and it doesn't show the year, exterior color and interior color, and where the person is from... i hope they bring those back.. also i can't seem to upload a picture for my avatar...
the side does feel a little faster

V4 is too slow, too hard to navigate and generally much more crappy than V3. I hope it gets better but I have to come to terms with the fact that it'll never be V3

So the PPD drop begins...

This isn't unique to Mid-A...the activity on the whole site has dropped. I've been wondering why myself. Combination of v4 and peeps doing summer stuff, maybe? Some of the old features we liked are missing, still, so that might be part of it, too. Who knows? I hope things improve...

My theory, for what it's worth, is that with the extended downtime of the site, some folks got out of the habit of hitting the site. One of the dangers of taking down a site like this is that you show folks that they can actually survive without it.

For me ... while s2ki was down ... i was visiting so many other forums

dragva.com
mi-4.com
garagebattle.com
jspek.com
teamultraspeed.com
importvelocity.com

^ from visiting these sites, i don't go onto s2ki as much due to me being more spread on other forums besides s2ki. before it was only like s2ki whoring + dragva/ultraspeed lurking ... but now i post in all those websites mentioned above.

Thumbs up

Poindexter,

Do we have a window in which we can all expect to have a more "user friendly" website?

I agree that it is a combo of the downtime, not being able to post while still being able to access the sight, and the mere fact that the weather has been okay for Top-Down driving !

I have an idea...why don't we all do something this weekend? Say Saturday or Sunday? My LAST DAY in the ARMY is Friday...Six years of pent-up youth is starting to make my head spin Anyone else smell a get-together??

-C.J.

I thought ya'll might enjoy this picture; This is what us crazy medics do when we get bored!
