Default Memorial Bridge Lane Closures

The bridge is falling apart, so the curbside lanes in both directions will be closed indefinitely starting tomorrow (Fri). Also 4 ft of the sidewalks. Most buses will be banned due to weight restrictions until repairs are made. This promises to be a mess for those of you who travel the GW Parkway near there as well as across the bridge. Banning the buses for the big summer tourist season will really be a nightmare. The buses will have to use the other bridges, adding to the congestion.

Thanks for the heads up Deb, I will avoid that area if possible.
