Can anyone recommend a good mechanic for after-warranty work in Richmond, VA. Thanks.

 

Depends on what you want done. Although I'm now doing most of my work while still under [aftermarket]-warranty via my local West Broad Honda service center, I can recommend a mechanic for you.

Fella's name is David and he works for Epperly's Garage west of Richmond, VA. I'll have to hunt up the number to the garage tomorrow...but David never did me wrong with 5 different vehicles (3 Hondas, 1 Ford F-150, and 1 Dodge Ram P/U).

Great guy. Honest. Fair.

But I would not hesitate to have Epperly's mechanic, David, work on my car . But for what its worth, David would be my *only* recommendation there...I do not know nor would I recommend any other mechanics there.]

 

my co-worker says wallace automotive on broad st does awesome work...

my sister takes her lexus to Art's. some rundown place on staples Mill, near the comcast HQ. they are good, pretty reasonable.

 

Yeah, Wallace Automotive on Broad St (also off Midlothian Trnpk on the Southside) is excellent as they did work on my '86 Integra. My friend with a '96 Accord asked them to install a new OEM exhaust and they wouldn't do it, so I guess they only do repair work and not much if any general maintenance.
