Default Lowering the Stock Seats

I'm looking for someone in the DC Metro area who has lowered their stock seats who would like to mine in exchange for beer/food or money. If you're interested, shoot me a PM or reply.

Thanks!

Do you mean seats where the pan has been modified, or do you want lowering rails? Those are the two main ways of lowering stock seat height.

I used the California Backyard Rails, or something like that. It dropped them about 1"

There are the Backyard Special lowering rails available, but they only claim to lower the seat 20mm (<1"). They also cost $350+ and come with a several week lead time since no one stocks them stateside.

I've read a few DIY's on here that claim to be able to lower the seat up to 2" by re-drilling the front mounts and by hammering the rear of the seat pan. I'd like to give that method a try, but I have a habit of breaking things whenever a hammer is involved.

Huh, I thought the hammering the seat pan method only got about 3/4" lowering. I never saw a version that involved redrilling the front mounts though, so maybe that helps a lot.

Using the method from that post, looks like folks are getting a good amount of lowering.
