Looking for a Mid-A guy for some maintenance
#31
Skip I don't need it. I just put it in there because I prefer to get it done when done by someone who knows what they are doing to save hassle latter. I don't even need most of the fluids done. I'm just anal I guess. It was only 20k miles ago that you and Jeff did the diff fluid when I got the 4.77 gears. The car doesn't get driven much in terms of mileage.

I don't know how I missed this I would've joined the party and have Skip do maintenance on mine too. I'll create a list to see what I need done but aeonracer I might take you up on your offer since I'm nearby in Sterling
I have 45k miles but wouldn't mind doing all of the following (I did most of the fluid changes back around 20k).
-Valve adjustment (optional - only if you know how)
-Oil change (Amsoil)
-Spark plug change
-Trans fluid change
-Differential fluid change
-Clutch fluid change
-Coolant change (I have a big bottle just around)
-Swap Exhaust

What year is your car? You probably don't need a coolant change. However, if you just want to check it off the list, make sure its aluminum block safe. I like the Honda OEM stuff.
I agree with Skip, no reason to do your valves at 45K, even if you run the motor hard. If you want some piece of mind, we can check them but I can almost guarantee they'll all be within spec. I did mine at 65k, and only one valve was 0.001 out of spec. I adjusted the others to be identical to smooth the motor out a bit.

I have honda's OEM coolant
I'll skip the valve work.
What spark plugs should I buy?
I'm out of town this weekend and next weekend is christmas... i'll work around your schedules guys ... no hurry I guess
on cold days such as these i think skip's quantico bay is a nice to have. if i go that route maybe we can get 2-3 guys together to make it worth skips' time and rental?

Now that the weather is better I'm finally ready for the maintenance!
These are the things that I definitely need
-Trans fluid change
-Differential fluid change
-Clutch fluid change
-Swap Exhaust (from supersprint to hks)
Maybe's
-Brake pads?
-Valve check?
I'll be happy to pay for the work, please PM me with your rate. Also, any recommendation on where to buy the parts would help too! Thanks

Bumping an older thread. I'm in Nova, actually in Winchester and just picked up an s2000. I'd like the fluids changed out as well, car has 56k miles on it. Also I wanted to see if anyone could help me install a Harddog Rollbar? (At some point, don't have it yet) I'd of course pay you for your time, I'm just looking for someone that knows these cars and that I can trust. Oh the car also came with Eibach springs, not sure if I want to install them or not. I don't know much about car maintenance, I work on my bikes but this car thing is a whole new learning curve.
Let me know , thanks!
