Default Looking for a good wrench in NoVa

hey guys, I'm a newbie here from northern VA. I'm looking for a good wrench in either Fairfax or Louden county. If anyone has any recommendations I'd greatly appreciate it.

I just need routine maintenance right now but I'm sure I'll need some major work in the future so I'd like to start taking my car to someone I can trust.

Thanks for the bandwidth,
Stephen

Yep...I personally have experience with Inline (not on my S) and theyve always treated me very well, and they are also very knowledgeable. I've also heard a lot of good things about evolution, and never any bad things, but dont have any personal experience with them...

This fella wants routine maintenance. He's not SC or anything (as far as I can tell from his post). My recomendation is to do it yourself.

As much as I'd love to say that he should do routine maintenance himself, I would be a hypocrite if I said so. I personally will not be able to do a lot of routine maintenance myself simply because I may not have the tools, place, or experience/confidence to do it myself. For this reason I personally can't whole heartedly tell him to do it himself... And since I would only recommend shops that I am pretty sure are good, I say that inline pro and evolution are places that he should try.

Thanks for the advice guys. I'll check out both those shops. I'd much rather do it myself, but I don't have the tools or space.
Now if someone was interested in hosting a wrenching day, I'll happily bring the beer!

You know, it might be helpful if you put down what you want to do. There's alot of people on the boards that are willing to lend a hand if they know what you are looking for. But if you post a vague thread then you're going to get vague answers and help. Just my $.02.

Good point. I was generally thinking of routine maintenance to mean an oil change, coolant flush, flush/bleed brakes, diff fluid change, transmission fluid change and replacing brake pads.

Also in terms of tires do you guys order them online and have a shop mount and balance them for you? Or is there a decent source for tires in the area you could recommend?

And yes, I'm still searching through the pages of threads...
