Default Looking for an exhaust shop to get UK exhaust mod done in DC/Baltimore area

I've been looking for an exhaust shop to get the UK exhaust mod done.. but so far have been unlucky.
I searched the forum and it looks like there are some in VA or PA, but I didn't find anything around this area.
Can anyone help? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Han

I'm also looking for a shop as well. I check Sportscar Inc and they are charging $200.

Wow $200 that's steep.
From the threads it seems some shops are doing it for $60.
I would find anything around $100 reasonable but $200 sounds a bit overcharged..

My local shops don't even want to do it..

Is that $60 to R&R the exhaust as well as drill and weld it or is that if you bring them the exhaust already off the car? Either way it's super cheap.

I believe it would be if you bring the exhaust taken off the car.

Asked 2 more shops today and they have no idea how to do it.
This is so depressing.

What are you asking them to do that they have no idea? Just ask them how much to drill/cut 4 holes and weld in 2 tubes. I can imagine walking into any muffler shop, handing them the exhaust, telling them what to do, and then them not being able to do it.

That's exactly what I told them. I even told them what diameter pipe to use (1.5").
It's just when I say cut holes they would make or faces.
Maybe there are legal issues?

I doubt there are legal issues. You're not removing any emission component. More than likely it's just not something easily described over the phone. My dad is a welder but he refuses to do exhaust work. Mainly because too many people bring him exhaust with rust holes all the way through it and expect him to magically make metal reappear. When he asked me what I wanted for Christmas I told him a welding helmet and lessons. I have a spare AP2 exhaust off of a buddy's car that I'll try this on. If it goes well I'll shoot you a PM. If I end up destroying that exhaust I'll pretend this post doesn't exist
