I disagree. Driving style plays a huge part in mileage. If you need to be the first person through the light every time, yes, you will want to get several gas cards. If you add a FlowMaster exhaust, you will need those gas cards. Why? You'll love hearing that low, throaty rumble. My '00 GMC was a 4.8L V8... couldn't keep my foot out of it. I did pick up one of those Hypertech Power Programmers- still have actually. It allowed me to override several things such as gas type(octane levels), shift crispness, top speed( ), tire diameter, etc.
The way I drive the V10, I still get about 14 mpg. Towing the long trailer w/ car I couldn't believe I still got 8-9 mpg. Some of you might think , but that's not bad at all.

i'm surprised you get that good with the v10. but in reality you with one of these smaller v8's in trucks you can get upper teens to around 20 on the highway and mid teens around town
