Default Leaking head gasket?

I was doing my monthly engine inspection (hoses, belts, dings, etc). I noticed what appears to be some oil seeping through my head gasket (front of engine). I have just put on 7500 miles and had the oil changed a couple of days ago. It does not look like any spillage from the oil change. Of course the car is still under warranty. Question: Should this be addressed now? Is the seal still setting? Do you all think Honda will push back this? Thanks. Advice greatly appreciated! Paul

There was another thread about this in UTH that said that some leakage is normal over time, but I would still bring it in just to be sure.

Take it to your dealer. Bring it to their attention. Get them to document it. Now...with that said, and once that's done...be prepared to agree to wipe the area in their presence and then to reinspect the area to see if it reappears. That, too, can be documented . In other words, have them help you work with the issue. You're in warranty. Just work with them in a friendly manner and they will work with you just fine.

I work at honda & 90% of all s2k have this so does mine. Even my 2nd motor has some oil on it. U should take it to honda & let them look at it and get the problem put in the comp. If u have stuff done 2 your car u still can take it in but if something does go wrong put everything back 2 stock & take it to a diffrent Honda. Make sure that the tires r good 2 Honda will some times send people out 2 look at the car 2 make sure that u dont "abuse" it.

Thanks for input. I took the car over to the dealer. They were very helpful (Maybe it helps that I played golf with the GM whom I had just met the day before. He had told the the Service manger I was coming in). ANyway, they agreed to clean the area, add some dye, and re-check the area in a 1000 miles or so. The service manager did say that that seal is not the head gasket, but rather the gasket that seals in the oil responsible for lubricating the timing chain (never-the-less an important part of the motor). I'll keep you posted...
