Late 70's cars needed for Feature film "Argo"
Posting this for a friend. Although the ad was also on Craigslist, it is a LEGIT ad from a LEGIT casting company.
Casting Call for late 70's model cars for Feature film "Argo"
Carlyn Davis Casting is looking for late 70's model cars for the new Ben Affleck film, "Argo." We are looking for non-descript cars, trucks, vans, etc. We are NOT looking hot rods at this time. If you need clarification on what types of cars we're looking for, please go to www.facebook.com/carlyndaviscasting and look under the photo album "Argo Cars."
The film will shoot in the DC area sometime in November 2011, potentially close to the Thanksgiving holiday.
If you are interested and available in the month of November, please email suzanne.cdc@gmail.com with a photo of your car, provide valid registration/proof of ownership, valid proof of insurance and all forms of contact for consideration. Thank you!

You just don't see those cars anymore around here.
Just about nothing made in the late 70's is considered a collectable, and was cared for as such.
I had a 78 Buick Regal Turbo, I don't think it made it into the 90's

To some extent, I agree. But 70's MGs of all years are collectible and most didn't think a Datsun 240 Z would be considered collectible either. I don't consider a Chevy Impala, Camaro, Chevelle, etc. to be "collectible" but others do. I'm sure there are quite a few cars from the late 70's that are in good shape and on film in a period piece such as that they can look like they're present day cars. That said, my 94 Ford Ranger barely made it into the 2000's so maybe 90's cars will soon be considered "collector" cars.

I don't see what's wrong with it? The word model has many meanings - not just the singular way in which you are interepreting it.

Not up to interpretation. It is the way the words are assembled. Also, is it then a singular model?
