Job opening: Exp. Windows Admin needed Reston, VA
I work for Lockheed Martin, my boss is currently looking for an experienced Windows Admin (5+ years experience minimum) to take a Senior Systems Engineering position at our office in Reston, VA.
A clearance is required (if you don't have one, it'd be difficult to hire you), please PM me and I can give you more details if you have questions.
You'd be mainly responsible for around 100 Windows boxes, a mix of Win2003, and some XP desktops.
Your job would go beyond being a simple System Administrator who follows procedures, we are looking for someone who can come up with new ideas to improve this system, write technical documentation and procedures, and come up with creative solutions to fix complex problems. You'd be expected to eventually do project management, leading up large efforts for software upgrades / patch installs / hardware upgrades (from a Windows perspective) etc.
Obviously you should have experience with Windows 2003, XP, and Active Directory. Veritas Netbackup, and limited Oracle knowledge would be useful but are not requirements. Windows scripting experience is a huge plus (I guess VBScript is what its called, I'm a UNIX guy all I know is shell scripting and PERL)
Pay range starts at $66k and ranges anywhere up to $110k, which will be determined by HR if they make you an offer.
If you're interested, PM me with a link to your resume or I'll give you my email address so you can submit your resume.
PS- I'd appreciate it if you guys wouldn't whore up this thread. I know thats probably just asking for it from some of you guys but try to contain yourselves for once

no clearance here, but interested
The less immediate ones we could backfill with uncleared people and put you in for a clearance, but it might take 3 months or more for you to clear.

LMIT or LMCO?
Not LMIT or LMCO

5 years isn't necessarily a hard and fast requirement. We just don't want a college hire with 0 experience, we need someone who can come in and immediately help out.
There's other openings as well that we have that are for less experienced people on the Windows and UNIX sides, but this is specifically one we need to fill immediately.
One drawback though -- you'd be working for me
