Default Installing a new ECU - Which Dealer?

I found a great deal on an 03 ECU and I'd like to get it put in. I have heard some dealers aren't able to swap ECU's and reprogram the immobilizer.

Has anyone swapped their ECU and knows a dealer that can do it (and knows how to do it)?

Out of curiosity, why are you moving to an '03?

Runs a little leaner than first-gen AP1 ecu's. Leaner(but safe) equals mo' power.

Doug what are you going to do with your old ecu? I would love to try it on my car.

AP1 ecu would allow an AP2 to rev beyond its current limited 8200 rpm's.

heres what I did.
set up an appointment with the honda dealer.

Before showing up to the dealer I took all interior pieces out so I could easily access the ECU... then I loosened the bolts.

When I got to the honda dealership, I swapped the ECU in the parking lot... took about 5-10 mins. Then the technician came out and re-immobilized my ECU so it would work with my keys. cost like 40 bucks or so, forgot what the exact bill was.

Easy.... the car runs good. Deffinatly an improvement.

Holy crap, Skip's quoting powers include the ability to add words

I looked at my quote long and hard, wondering why I asked that question, only to realize I never did.

I answered the first one. When the OP suggested getting an older one, I went ahead and answered that question before someone else asked it.
