I have the exact same symptoms you are referring to, I was hoping they would tell you a fix to it :-( I have 40k miles on the clock on an 01', which has had the clutch TSB done.

i had the chance on Saturday to take the car out with the top down and do some more detailed listening. Strangely enough, I thought the noise was coming from the front, but on Sat. it sounded more like it was coming from the back left drivers side area, trying to listen more I could have sworn it was more exhaust noise related.
because of the fact that I can get it to stop the moment I actually apply pressure to the gas pedle really confuses me. I hope to have my Invidia exhaust installed this coming week and I'll have to see if I can still hear it then.
